v 1. диктовать: to dictate smth to smb — диктовать что-либо кому-либо; 2. диктовать, приказывать: to dictate to smb (1). Глагол to dictate 1. в форме герундия ( dictating) может соответствовать русскому существительному диктовка, которое имеет в свою очередь два значения — процесс диктовки и диктант (диктуемый текст).
